I came across the Howard-Johnston Ltd showroom completely by chance when driving home one night. I remembered they had been there for years (40+) and when I got home, I went on their website and found a few good cars for my budget and what I was wanting. I booked a test online for a Citroen, the following morning. The owner, Peter, phoned me back 1st thing in the morning confirming a time to come down.The customer service from Peter was absolute top-notch. I was trading in my old 2010 Renault, and he offered me a really fair price for it's age. Buying a car can often feel stressful, but I never once felt pressured or ripped off (especially being female). Peter runs a completely honest, fair, and transparent business.He went above and beyond to make sure the Citroen C3 Plustech 1.2 Automatic fit my lifestyle but also that my dog could fit comfortably in the boot. He understood that it's all about the dog! Despite it raining and Cooper being wet, Peter didn't mind at all and let him try out the boot for size! To save it's clean interior from the muddy paws, I took a blanket to put down. Cooper jumped in straight away, and it was the perfect fit for him. I then asked my dad to test drive the car, and his exact words afterwards were, "what's not to love?" I decided to buy it there and then (no thinking time was needed).I have already recommended Howard-Johnston to my friends and family. First class experience at Howard-Johnston cars and how refreshing to deal with Peter who understands the true meaning of customer service. Due to unexpected circumstances, my husband and I had to purchase two cars in a relatively short time and Peter couldn't have been more helpful on both occasions. He took time to find out our vehicle needs/specifications etc. and sourced the perfect car on both occasions. It was a pleasure doing business at Howard-Johnston cars and I recommend their services wholeheartedly.

Integrity of the highest order. If you wish to purchase a car without the nagging doubt that you may be being ripped off or conned, perhaps because of disappointment experienced at another car dealers or being overawed by a huge saleroom then Howard-Johnson will relieve you of any doubt or apprehension. From my initial telephnone call through to after sales service Peter was the epitomy of patience, courtesy, honesty and decency. I purchased a Ford Galaxy from Howard-Johnston. Everything was as described and six months on it has proved to be all I could have wished for, reliable, dependable and value for money. In the not too distant future I shall be seeking a car for my Grand-daughter when she is 17 years old. Howard Johnston will definitely be the place to which I go to.

If you want to deal with pleasant, helpful people go to Howard-Johnston Cars and they will sell you a very nice car. They go out of their way to help. I am delighted with the Peugeot 308 SW I bought from them. A much better experience than dealing with some of the large traders.

I have been motoring for 40 years and in that time I have bought over a dozen cars, all second-hand. Howard-Johnston are an asset to the industry. The car was prepared to a high standard and a couple of minor points were rectified quickly and without fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending Howard-Johnston and would certainly return when our cars are due for replacement
